Jaipur is gearing up for a metro revolution! The Rajasthan government has greenlit a massive ₹12,000 crore investment for the Phase 2 Orange Line of the Jaipur Metro.
- Corridor: Ambabari (North Jaipur) ➝ Sitapura Industrial Area (South Jaipur)
- Route Length: 23.5 km
- Total Stations: 21 (15 Elevated, 6 Underground)
- Draft DPR Submitted: April 2025 by RITES
- Reviewed by: Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma
- Next Steps: Final DPR to be sent to Central Government; tenders expected soon
This project aims to reduce traffic congestion and improve connectivity across Jaipur.
🚧 Update on Phase 1 Extensions
Phase 1C: Badi Chaupar to Transport Nagar
- Length: 3.41 km
- Estimated Cost: ₹980 crore
- Status: Work halted since November 2024
- Purpose: Reduce traffic on Delhi and Agra Roads
Phase 1D: Mansarovar to 200 Ft. Bypass (Ajmer Road)
- Length: 1.31 km
- Status: Proposal submitted to state government
- Awaiting: Budget approval
