Phase 2 Construction Update

The construction of Phase 2 of the Jaipur Metro is progressing as per schedule, with approximately 45% of the work completed. The second phase will extend the existing Pink Line from Mansarovar to Ajmer Road.
According to the latest update from the Jaipur Metro Rail Corporation (JMRC), the tunneling work is 60% complete, and the construction of stations is underway. The project is expected to be completed by December 2026.
"We are working round the clock to ensure that the project is completed on time. The new line will significantly improve connectivity to the western parts of the city," said the JMRC Project Director.
Phase 2 will add 8 new stations to the network, covering a distance of 12 kilometers. The new stations will include Ajmer Road, Durgapura, Jawahar Circle, and Sanganer. The extension is expected to increase the daily ridership by 150,000 passengers.
The JMRC has also announced that it will soon begin the land acquisition process for Phase 3, which will connect the airport to the city center.
